Our Philosophy

Coaching is a process that begins and ends with the fundamental belief that every individual is an expert in his or her life.  A coaching session is designed to create a thought-provoking and stimulating dialogue to help you tap your own inner wisdom and develop a mindset to achieve your goals.  We start by focusing on your vision (what does success in this area look like?) move to planning (what tactically needs to happen to get you there?) and then goal setting.

Working with us you can expect to:

  • Discover and clarify what you want to achieve
  • Unleash your own solutions and strategies
  • Establish self-determined action items to move you closer to your goals between coaching sessions
  • Be accountable and responsible for achieving the results you define
  • Develop new and effective habits of thinking and acting that produce sustainable change

I am a seasoned strategist and leader specializing in career management, communication and personal development.  As an executive coach, I help senior leaders regain their foucs, align their professional goals with organizational objectives and connect their values with their leadership style.  My coaching is informed by over three decades of experience as a senior leader, working in world class organizations managing diverse, highly-skilled global teams and driving technology learning and communication programs for all levels of staff.   I have been in the trenches, and worked my way through complex organizational structures and understand the challenges dedicated professionals have in attaining, maintaining and defining success.

In my practice I use a brain-based model of coaching designed to create new habits, ways of thinking and meaningful change.  My approach is influenced by positive psychology, learning theory and contemporary neuroscience.  My style is warm, engaging, friendly and direct.  I believe that change can be challenging, it doesn't have to be boring.

In my personal life I am a published novelist (The Last Bridge, Random House) currently working on my second novel and a collection of poetry.  In addition to my corporate experience, I have worked as a stand-up comedian, actress, museum security guard, filmmaker, director, waitress, receptionist, housekeeper, babysitter, and possibly for the CIA (it's a long story.)

I hold a B.F.A. and a certificate in Executive and Career Coaching from New York University and am a Certified Five O'Clock Club Career Coach.

I am on a mission to get you to connect more deeply with your aspirations, your loved ones and your career. I believe coaching is the best way to help you uncover what it is you want, what is holding you back and what you are willing to do to achieve success. I believe in the power of coaching because I was coached and it changed my life.
